Dynamite Match Round-up (8/11/2010)
Geplaatst Match Nieuws at Nov 08, 2010
It’s been a good seven days for Dynamite’s team of match anglers. Here is DynamiteBaits.com’s rundown of their results…
Top performance this week has to be Nick Speed following a string of impressive results at Lindholme Lakes, Sandtoft, which included three top three finishes in just five days.
He started the week with a third place finish in the 21-peg Tuesday open match with 61lb 11oz of carp on the Bonsai Lake.
A few days later he returned to the venue to take part in the 46-peg open match, split between Willows and Laurels Lakes. Drawn on Willows peg 32, Nick wasted no time and quickly set about targeting the venue’s small F1 Carp on the long pole with fishery pellets and Swim Stim Soft Hookers. These tactics accounted for 102 fish which took the scales to 67lb 13oz and secured second place.
The next day he completed the 1-2-3 with a match win in the 51-peg Sunday open. This time he drew Willows peg 48 and used the same pellet tactics as the previous day at 9m and 14m to take carp up to 3lb in his winning 59lb 4oz net.
Over in the east, Neil Parkinson continued his impressive run of form at Cross Drove Fishery, Hockwold, with two victories in the space of a week.
On the mid-week open he fished Swim Stim Pellets on the pole at 13m to take a winning 66lb net of carp, goldfish and skimmers in the 23-peg open.
He returned to the venue on Saturday and once again beat the rest of the 21-strong field with a 45b 13oz net. Again, pellet and pole doing the damage.
Dynamite’s Pete Caton took victory in the 34-peg open at Tunnel Barn Farm with a 76lb 8oz net of F1 Carp taken on pellets fished at 14m from peg-22 on Extension pool.
Elsewhere in the midlands, Tim Bull finished a very respectable third in the 108-peg Makins Winter League with a 65lb 10oz net of carp and Neil McKinnon finished 5th in the 48-peg open match at Larford Fishery on the Specimen Lake.
It was also a successful week for our anglers in the north-west. In the Thursday open at Partridge Lakes, Steve Parry took victory from peg-84 on the Covey Canal Lakes. He switched between pellet and maggot on the pole at 4m and 7m to catch small F1 carp, mirror carp and ide in his 77lb 10oz winning net.
Over at Blundell’s Fishery, Kieron Rich won the 41-peg Rover match with 69lb 14oz of carp and ide taken on the waggler fished tight to the far bank.
